There is no better facility to host a homesteading summit than Lake Farmpark--an operating educational farm! From the Draft Arena, to the Sugar House, and the Dairy Parlor to the Greenhouse, this venue is unbeatable. With over 35 sessions on topics that run the gamut of homesteading skills, there is more information than an entire family could glean over the entire weekend.

There will be six tracks, so you can either become an expert in one, or bounce around and become a Jack of all trades. All of our speakers are practitioners and experts who have years of hard earned wisdom. For year two we are honing in on Midwest agriculture and bringing nationally respected farmers from the Ohio area to share their wisdom with you. We will also mix it up with more hands on classes, get ready to band a goat and so much more!

Taylor Clark from Bouldeberry Farms

​Boulder Berry Farms is a family-owned and operated organic alternative fruit farm located in Morrow, Ohio. In July 2021, Boulder Berry Farms became the first certified organic elderberry farm in Ohio's history, following an on-site inspection by the Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association (OEFFA). This certification ensures that no synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers are used in their crop production

 

Shawn and Beth Dougherty 

The Doughertys are authors of The Independent Farmstead, a comprehensive guide that details their journey toward self-sufficiency and offers practical advice on topics such as electric fencing, animal husbandry, and pasture management.
